This notice sets out who operates Elite Tokyo Tours and the commercial terms that apply to services sold through this website, as required for online sales in Japan.

Services sold

Private day tours in Tokyo and to nearby destinations, booked and paid for on this website: Bespoke Tour, Layover Tour, Departure Tour and Day Trips.

Bespoke multi-day journeys, arranged by written proposal after an inquiry. These are not sold through the online checkout.

Prices

Prices are shown on each product page in United States dollars (USD) and include applicable Japanese consumption tax. What each price includes is stated on the product page and in the booking confirmation. Admissions, meals, tickets, parking, tolls and other third-party costs are not included unless expressly listed. A bank, card issuer or payment provider may apply its own currency conversion or transaction charges.

For bespoke journeys, the price is stated in the written proposal.

Payment

Day tours: payment in full at checkout, by the credit and debit cards and digital wallets offered at checkout, including Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Payment is processed by Shopify and its payment partners.

Bespoke journeys: a deposit of 50% of the program price to secure the dates, with the balance due 15 calendar days before the first scheduled service. Programs confirmed inside 15 days are paid in full at confirmation. Payment methods and timing are stated in the proposal.

When the service is provided

A day tour is provided on the date and at the start time selected at booking, once Elite Tokyo Tours has issued a booking confirmation by email. Bookings must be made at least 48 hours before the start time, Japan time. A bespoke journey is provided on the dates in the accepted proposal, once the deposit has cleared and written confirmation has been issued.

Cancellation and refunds

Day tours are governed by the Day Tour Booking and Cancellation Policy at /pages/booking-policy. In summary, cancellation received at least 24 hours before the scheduled start is refunded less any non-recoverable third-party costs, and cancellation received less than 24 hours before the start is not refunded.

Bespoke journeys are governed by the Bespoke Journey Program Terms at /pages/program-terms. In summary, no Elite Tokyo Tours cancellation charge applies at least 7 calendar days before the first scheduled service, 20% of the program price applies inside 7 days, and 100% applies after the program begins or on no-show, in each case less any non-recoverable third-party costs.

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method.
