Layover Tour
Turn the hours between flights into a private experience in or around Tokyo.
We meet you at Haneda or Narita Airport and plan the tour around the time you genuinely have available. Your arrival, onward flight, terminal and check-in requirements determine how far you can travel and what can comfortably fit.
Planned backward from your flight. We begin with the time you need to be back at the airport, then build a realistic route with appropriate return margin.
Choose the kind of layover you want. Depending on your airport and schedule, the day might include Tokyo neighborhoods such as Asakusa, Ginza or Shibuya. A Narita-based route could instead focus on Naritasan Temple and the traditional Narita Omotesando approach.
You can prioritize sightseeing, shopping, food or simply one worthwhile experience away from the terminal. We will tell you honestly what your available hours allow rather than give you an itinerary you cannot finish.
Private airport pickup and return. Your vehicle is reserved for your group. Tolls, parking and fuel are included.
Guided in English and Japanese. Your bilingual driver-guide manages the route while keeping the day aligned with your flight schedule.
For groups of five or six, the third row is best suited to smaller adults or children and leaves less room for luggage. We may recommend storing larger bags at the airport.

Cancellation Policy
- Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the experience’s start time, less any non-recoverable third-party costs (such as tickets or reservations) committed for your booking. If there are none, you receive a full refund.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will be up to the discretion to the guide based on what’s possible.
- Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
- This experience requires decent weather. If it’s canceled due to extreme weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
One example: a six-hour layover from Haneda
The timeline below is a single worked example, built on a six-hour layover that starts and ends at Haneda. The clock times show the shape of that day, not a schedule you are booking.
Your own plan is built around your arrival, your onward flight, your terminal and your check-in requirements, and around the hours you genuinely have rather than the hours between the two flights. A Narita layover is planned differently, because the journey between the airport and the city is considerably longer, and a shorter or longer layover changes what fits. Tell us what interests you and your driver-guide will suggest a route once the booking is in.

Pick up at Haneda Airport
Our driver/guide will pick you and your party from Haneda Airport.
Our driver/guide will arrive at least 15 minutes before scheduled arrival and stay through any delays that may occur on your flight.
1:00 PM
Asakusa
Asakusa is built around Senso-ji, Tokyo’s oldest temple. Nakamise Street runs up to it, lined with stalls selling crafts and snacks. It is the usual choice when a layover should include something older than the skyline.
2:30 PM
Ginza District
Ginza is Tokyo’s established luxury shopping district. Chuo Dori is its main boulevard, with international houses and Japanese select shops along it. A short drive north is Mitsukoshi, a department store that has traded for about 350 years; its basement food hall is worth the detour on its own.
4:00 PM
Shibuya
Shibuya is the modern counterpart: the scramble crossing, the boutiques around it and the smaller streets behind it, where most of the eating and drinking actually happens.
5:00 PM
Souvenirs Galore
Mega Don Quijote is a large discount store open late, stocking electronics, cosmetics, snacks and souvenirs over several floors. It is a practical last stop when there is shopping still to do and a flight to catch.
6:00 PM
Back to the Airport
The day ends at your departing terminal. We plan the return around your check-in and boarding times rather than around the itinerary, and shorten the last stop if the traffic says so.
